The Hidden Meaning In Your Wedding Bouquet

Bridal Bouquet DecodedBridal bouquets are the epitome of what your wedding was or will be like. Some are big, pink and covered in crystals, while others are fashioned out of twigs and tiny wildflowers.  Have you ever wondered if there was a deeper meaning to your bouquet?  In fact, there is! Every flower has a meaning that was assigned during the Victorian era so sweethearts could communicate their innermost feelings via blossoms instead of words.

We’ve decoded the bouquet featured in this post, and here’s what we found:

Hydrangea – Understanding

Lily of the Valley – Happiness

Peonies – Ambition & Determination

Cala Lily – Purity

My 2 flowers at my wedding is the traditional red roses with stephanotis
I love the fact that stephanotis mean marital bliss! IDK that and I love those little flowers!

My bouquet will have yellow roses and lilies. All the yellow roses in my wedding are in memory of my mother who passed away in 2005.

I never realized the special meaning behind the flowers you pick, I was simply looking at what looked pretty together. Now, I may have to go and find out what each flower I’ve looked at means before settling on them. Thanks!

I am going to have a few orchids in my bouquet and incorporated into the corsages and boutonnieres. What an elegant, beatufiul flower. To make it even better, an orchid means “love and beauty”! :)
