Top Fall Engagement, Wedding & Anniversary Photo Ideas

Anniversary Photo Ideas

Fall is here bringing a new season as well as amazing opportunities for anniversary photo ideas, engagement photo ideas, and wedding photo ideas!  It is important to capture your love at any stage of your relationship and these top photo ideas will have you enjoying the season and each other even more this season!

Leaf Kisses: Whether you’re capturing an engagement, wedding or anniversary kiss, leaves fluttering around you is a great way to celebrate the Fall season and add motion and visual interest to your photos.  Word to the wise…this is nearly impossible if you’re taking “selfies”.  Ideally you need a photographer and someone to toss the leaves at the perfect moment.

Pumpkins + Rings: We adore wedding bangs placed on pumpkin stems.  White pumpkins are more elegant but orange pumpkins add great color contrast.  If you’re feeling crafty you can paint or carve your wedding date on the pumpkin before snapping your photo.  A flower girl or ring bearer holding the pumpkin would be another fantastic photo to capture.

Apples: Incorporating apples into photos always adds a Fall element.  You could do an engagement shoot in an orchard or an anniversary photo sipping apple cider at sunset.

Celebrate Becoming Mr. and Mrs!

Celebrate Becoming Mr. and Mrs!

Don’t forget to celebrate becoming Mr. and Mrs! October is the second biggest wedding month of the year…meaning the number of those new to the names of Mr. and Mrs. will dramatically increase by November! As you both relax from the lack of wedding planning and begin your newlywed journey together, don’t forget to celebrate your new statuses. Remember, you have exactly twelve months from when you said “I do” to live it up as newlyweds!

It is completely appropriate to wear Mr. and Mrs. apparel, eat ice cream out of his and hers bowls and indulge in any other silly yet fun newlywed antics. People can’t help but smile at your newlywed glow and enthusiasm… so brighten the day of those married for years and inspire the dreams of those yet to be engaged!

This newlywed year is also a great time to keep separate journals or a joint love journal.  You can record all of your “firsts’ as a married couple as well as your hopes and dreams for the future together.  It will be special now and a true treasure when you celebrate your golden anniversary in 50 years.

How do you plan to celebrate becoming Mr. and Mrs? Are you celebrating with a name change? If so, the MissNowMrs app or online service can save you 13 hours of hassle. We think that’s something to celebrate too.

Will Amal Alamuddin Change to George Clooney’s Last Name?

Will Amal Alamuddin Change to George Clooney's Last Name?

Will Amal Alamuddin change to George Clooney’s last name? George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin tied the knot a few days ago and now the entire world is wondering what’s next for the newlyweds. Will Amal change to her married last name? Will they start a family? Where will the live? While it’s none of our business, it’s fun to speculate!

Clooney’s bride is 36, which will affect her name change decision. Statistically, the older the bride is at the time of marriage the more likely she is to keep her maiden name in some way. Perhaps she will hyphenate Alamuddin-Clooney or take her maiden name as a middle name.

We think Amal should play the MarriedNameGame to see what her ideal name change option is based on 8 key name change factors in her life. Whatever name change option she chooses (or doesn’t), we wish both George and Amal a marriage filled with love and happiness that lasts a lifetime.

What do you think? Will Amal Alamuddin change to George Clooney’s last name? We’d love to hear your thoughts and predictions in a comment!

Jessica Simpson Is Changing to her Married Name

Jessica Simpson Is Changing to her Married Name

Did you hear that Jessica Simpson is changing to her married name? Newlywed Jessica Simpson announced on the Today Show that she is  planning to change to her married name of Johnson.  October is the height of newlywed name change and the star is one of many hundreds of thousands of women making the transition to Mrs. While Jessica is opting to replace Simpson with Johnson, she could have hyphenated both last names, taken both last names sans hyphen or taken her maiden name as a middle name.

Many stars opt to continue working under their maiden names despite changing their last names.  It will be interesting to see what Jessica ends up doing with her name professionally.  We sincerely hope she uses the MissNowMrs.com married name change service to make the completion and filing of her name change paperwork straightforward and fast!  Congratulations Jessica and best wishes for your new marriage and new married name.
